In reply to Sara Romenesko. Hi Sara! I'm so glad that these are a hit at your house! I recommend freezing the meatballs in the sauce in an airtight freezer container, if you plan to feed a crowd in the future. Just thaw before you plan to serve them. If you want to make them extra easy to serve, freeze enough for one sandwich in individual freezer bags, and pull them out as needed.

I love that they built a quinzee. Did you let them sleep in it? These sandwiches look amazing -- perfect for hungry snow hut builders.
