So funny - the big white elephant in the room! :D I actually really like crumble-topped pies, but now that you mention it, you're exactly right that it's so important for them to have that perfect balance of textures and not have a soggy topping! I love how you walked us through the process here - I guess it's the food geek in me that just loves to know the actual process involved in developing a great recipe! And this does look so phenomenal - so much delicious fruit flavor, in a lovely combination that's perfect for the holidays! Just gorgeous!
